Research

My primary research interest is in computer vision, specifically in action recognition and object tracking. I am also interested in
image processing and pattern recognition. I work on tracking people and recognizing their actions in uncontrolled videos.
Projects
- Building visual story boards for video clips
A video clip is described by a visual story board comprised of people detected and tracked in each shot, actions detected for each
person and character matches learnt across shots.
- Action recognition from person tracks
Actions are recognized by training bag-of-words SVM classifiers on feature descriptors extracted sparsely over person tracks in a video.
The importance of extracting features in the neighborhood of the actor is investigated.
